...junk.mail...
my mom has forever told me to stop drawing on irregular sized paper and "junk" paper. needless to say, i never really listened. in fact, last night i started a caricature and it turned out to be one of the best exaggerated self-caricatures i've done. sorry mom, it ended up on the back of my progressive insurance envelope. so, i had an idea. i'm going to start a new line of artwork called "junk mail" and just do ballpoint pen drawings on the endless promotional junk paper that is snail mailed everyday. i'll never run out of paper, and if i need something bigger, i will glue them together. let me know what you think...

BASEL MIAMI
went to miami this weekend with lindsey (4.5 hour drive -one way-) and went to possibly the largest art shows in the nation... i think even the world.
art basel started in switzerland i believe, and is now starting to have more locations annually.
we got to see degas, miro, dali, chuck close, warhol, etc. as well as many many current contemporary work that i loved. to name a couple would be nara yoshitomo, mark ryden, plus many more.
linz and i are creating a basel fund and will be attending all 3 days of this event next year!
we met up with ted (grapic artist from san francisco/new york city/ft lauderdale) and his friend mike. we all had a blast and hopefully someday will start creating a lot of artwork together.
art basel is a definite recommendation to all artists or all who appreciate art.

too busy to be organized
blech!... do you feel like this?
im feeling like i NEED to be organized but the only down time i have, i end up doing stuff like... blogging.
really i need to organize my room, car, business, life etc. so i can feel more productive.
im sure the more productive i am the less compelled i will feel to get organized.
i'll procrastinate since its almost midnight... mmm... sweeepy
